Wedding bells Times 50

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ross, Jr., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple wed on Feb. 7, 1959, at St. Teresa Catholic Church.

Edward, originally from Gallup, is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served as a machine gunner during the Korean War. He retired from the Grants Fire Department and retired from Kerr-McGee after 26 and one-half years. He also serves on the Veterans of Foreign Wars honor guard. Cora (Barela), from San Rafael, was a cook for the Grants/Cibola County School District.

The couple have four children: Trinnie Blea and spouse Adolpho Blea; Veronica Garcia and spouse Mike Garcia; Eddie Ross and spouse Diane Fernandez; and Joseph Ross and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
