Julia Campbell

A memorial service for Julia “Juli” Casement Campbell, 69, was held on Feb. 21, 2009, at the Chapel of Riverside Funeral Home in Belen. Pastor Jay Armstrong officiated. Interment was private.



She was born in Grand Junction, Colo., on April 2, 1939, to John Stephen and Xenia Franseca Marghteic and passed away on Feb. 19, 2009.

She was an agent for Farm Bureau at offices in Grants, Belen, Farmington and Albuquerque. She was also active in the New Mexico Cutting Horse Association.

She was married to Kenneth Campbell from 1958 to 1979. She was named to Who's Who of American Women for her individual achievement as a nationally recognized horsewoman and for her service to youth.

She is survived by her daughters: Jule and Butch Krietemeyer of Gilbert, Ariz., Diana and Todd Proctor of Capitan and Susan and Todd Mosley of Jarales; sister and brother-in-law: Alexandra and Robert Morris of Midland, Texas; one nephew and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a no-kill shelter or animal rescue.

Riverside Funeral Home in Belen was in charge of arrangements.
