Clifford Cooper Funeral Mass for Clifford M. Cooper 82, of Grants, will be held on April 20, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. A rosary will be held on April 19, 2009, at 7 p.m. at the church. Private burial will take place at a later date. Cooper was born on July 21, 1926 in Lee Summit, Mo., and passed away on April 16, 2009, in Grants. He was the owner of Cooper's Cheap-O Tires in Milan for 20 years and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife: Pacita Valdez Copper of Grants; children: Ron Cooper, Sr. and wife Sandra of Cozad, Neb., Reno Copper of Cozad, Neb. and Christian Copper-Halverson; brother: William Copper of Lacross, Kan.; grandchildren: Rena Jamor, Charity Dunphy, Ron Copper, Jr., Brandon Copper, Halem Halverson; great-grandchildren: Ashland Copper, Dylan Copper, Avery Dunphy, Alana Major, Maeloni Major, Bethany Dunphy and Garrett Copper; aunt: Franceline Parris of Harrisonville, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harry Marshall and Emma Mae Copper; brother: Tom Copper. Pallbearers will be: Ron Cooper, Sr., Reno Cooper, Larry Grider, Jeffery Matilla, MD., Freddie Brinquis and William Cooper Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. |
