Awesome success

Dear Editor:

First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to put our basketball benefit in the newspaper. It was awesome and we had a good turnout. All funds raised were for the Relay for Life Cancer Walk. We raised about $140, which was great.

I wonder if you could do something else for us as some people did this benefit out of the kindness of their hearts and didn't ask for reimbursements.

We, the Cibola County Sheriff's Department, would like to express a few thank yous on their behalf. First of all thanks to the referees Issac Gamboa and Mario Maestas, the national anthem singer Vanessa Nieto and also the Grants High School basketball teams as well as Coach Z who helped us tremendously with the set up of the basketball games. Grants High School also lent its new gym to us for the fundraiser which worked out wonderful.

We would also like to thank the Grants Police Department for its help and participation. Thanks so much.
