GRANTS - State Tot Cinderella Kylee Jones is racking up the titles in her first year as a contestant in the Cinderella Scholarship Pageant. To continue her winning ways, the young beauty has been invited to the International Pageant in Dallas on July 26.

The royal tot will meet other state-titled Cinderellas from all over the country at the International Pageant for a week of tot parties through Aug. 1.

Jones, also the reigning overall Santa Fe Tot, won second overall State Tot in the recent Cinderella State pageant held in Albuquerque and first place in Overall Tot personality.

In her first year as a pageant contestant she and her parents have gone to three different pageants, earning tot titles and royal responsibilities. Jones' new obligations include making appearances at various events like helping the homeless.

Her mother, Tracy, expressed surprise that her daughter was doing so well in her first year with the pageant.

“I'm very proud of her. We'll do it as long as she wants,” said the elder Jones.

“She's very outgoing, she's her biggest fan,” mom said joking. “She has a good personality.”

The pageant tot turned seven years old this year and for now can kick back and enjoy the parties and networking with the other Tot Cinderellas. If she continues with the pageant next year, added to her plate will be the pressure of the talent portion.

Jones enjoys several hobbies that she might use as her talent. Gymnastics is one, and her other favorite thing to do is hula hooping, which she been doing since she was only two.

Her training regimen hasn't reached the rigorous level, yet. According to her mother, the little Jones practices her introduction and her walk and turning to music.

It also seems that Jones is a fairytale daughter. Her mother reported that Jones does well in school. She is an advanced reader and gets straight As. The tot also stays in pageant shape with a healthy diet. Jones' favorite foods are fruits and vegetables, like cantaloupe, corn and green beans, her mother reported.

Like other pageant contestants, Jones has her favorite cause, which is anything that is to do with animals, according to her mother. The young humanitarian also raises rabbits with 4H and is good with other children.

“She likes to help the younger kids, teaching them stuff,” said mom. “She'll read to them, or get them involved in dancing and gymnastic activities.”

“I think she's gorgeous,” said the elder Jones. “She's my only girl. I also have two boys, so she's a bit spoiled.”

Cinderella's brothers, both older, “are very proud of her, and they're always there to cheer her on,” said mom.
