A Celebration of Life for Randall “Randy” David Misener will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Belen, 4th and Becker.

He was born March 26, 1962, in Berkeley, Calif., and died very unexpectedly during a brief hospitalization, on Sept. 17, 2009.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Liddy Rymarz-Misener; his beloved parents, Milford and Coral Misener all of Belen; his favorite in-laws, Ron and Su Rymarz of Carnuel;  his two dear sisters, Chari Ritchie and husband Jerry, Denise Gleason and husband Paul all of Albuquerque; his wonderful brother, Gary Misener and wife Susan of Germany; a very special uncle, Phil Misener; a dear aunt, Liz Baker both of Colorado; three extra special nieces,  Jana, Annie and Chelsea; one extra special nephew, Garrett, who Randy was so proud of for his continued dedicated service to our country in the U.S. Marine Corps; along with many other family members and countless friends who loved and will miss him immensely.

Randy was a man of tremendous faith who loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He was a lifelong resident of Belen. Upon graduation from Belen High School Randy entered the New Mexico State Police. After serving in the NM State Police he entered into his passion, construction, where he successfully owned and operated his own construction company. Randy loved to be among his family and friends. He was an avid sportsmen, certified NRA Instructor and classic car fanatic and enthusiast. Randy was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Belen where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Director. Randy will always be remembered for his love of the Lord, his integrity, his kindness, his gentle spirit and his willingness to put others before himself.

In lieu of flowers, the family would request memorial donations, in Randy's memory, be made to the New Mexico Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 629 Portales, NM 88130.   www.nmbch.com.

Direct Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

" Randy was one of the kindest men I ever had the privilege to know. He was the gentle giant. He treated everyone he had contact with respect and dignity. I will remember him always as a bold witness who was never shy about professing his faith. Liddy, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We truly thought the world of Randy.
