Senior bridges

Pet friends

    “For the Animals” advocacy group meets the first Sunday of each month at 1 p.m. at the St. Rose Center, across the street from St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. For more information call Kathryn at 287-2098.

Grieving help

    A loss and grief support group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at Cibola General Hospital. The meeting is from 3:30-5 p.m. at the hospital, 1016 E. Roosevelt Ave. for more information call 287-5300.

MS support

    People diagnosed with MS, their families, friends and loved ones meet regularly in a support group. Meetings take place the second Saturday of each month from 1-3 p.m. at Cibola Counseling Services, 906 N. First St. For more information call 876-1896.

Healthy children

    A workshop to help parents raise responsible children will take place each Wednesday at Roberta's Place. The free sessions will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at 801 E. Roosevelt Ave. For more information call Megan at 287-7203.

Spirit searchers

    A weekly discussion of spiritual topics takes place each Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Baha'i group welcomes all seekers without pressure. For more information and directions call 240-4806 or 240-4807.

K of C Holy orders

    The St. Teresa of Avila Council 3683 of the Knights of Columbus meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. The group gathers at 7 p.m. at 1601 E. Roosevelt Ave.

Card players

    The Cribbage Club has changed its meeting dates. The card players now meet Saturdays at 8 a.m. at different locations. For more information call Tom at 285-4529.

New moms

A breastfeeding support group meets the first and third Wednesday of each month. Meetings are from noon-1 p.m., at the Cibola County Health Office. For more information call 290-1973.

Amateur Radio

    The Cibola County ARC/ARES meet the third Thursday of the month at First Baptist Church 224 Mountain Rd. at 6 p.m. All hams and those interested in becoming hams are welcome to attend.

    A FCC Amateur Radio License test is held after each meeting for those interested. Study guides are also available for anyone interested.

COPD Support Group

    Friends and family of those with breathing problems will meet the third Thursday of each month in the community room at Cibola General Hospital. Narcotics Anonymous

    Narcotics Anonymous family support group for substance abuse meets every  Tuesday  at  noon to 1 p.m. and from  5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 411 W. Santa Fe Ave., Suite 5. For more information call 287-3677.

Retired Educators

    All local retired educational employees (teachers, administrators, cooks, aides, secretaries and custodians) are invited to join the Grants/Cibola County Association of Educational Retirees.  The group meets the second Wednesday of every month at 11:30 a.m. at Coyote del Malpais Restaurant.
