Scary kids

A children's Halloween party is planned for 1 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the American Legion Post 60 in Milan. Prizes, games, a cake walk and other fun will take place. For more information call Leah at 450-7921 or Tara at 290-0037.

Scary party at Elks Lodge

A Halloween carnival will take place Oct. 31 at the Elks Lodge. The BPO Does are hosting the event, from 5-8 p.m. Activities include 25 cent games, prizes and a concession stand. The lodge is at 805 N. Charles. For more information call 287-3885.

Silver screen

A free showing of “Pete the Pint-size Pirate” is set for Saturday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. The movie, produced by the Poco Loco Players, will be shown at Martinez Theater of the New Mexico State University-Grants. Donations will be accepted to benefit the group.

Wild wheels

The American Legion Post 80 is hosting a car show on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The entry free event is open to all customs, stockers, rats and motorcycles. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available. A costume party will follow.
