Manuel Leyba

    A memorial service for Manuel Leyba, 75, was held on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at the El Rito Presbyterian Church in Chacon.

    He was born on Feb. 24, 1934, in Chacon and passed away on Nov. 3, 2009, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque. He was a resident of San Rafael for 25 years.

    He is survived by his wife: Olivia; daughters: Erma and husband Rumaldo Garcia of Los Lunas, Verna and husband Stanley Chandler of Albuquerque and Marcia and husband Michael Berrosteran of Edgewood; sons: Elmer and wife Rachel Leyba of Albuquerque and Anthony and wife Aleisa of Wimberley, Texas; brothers: Juan J. and wife Mary Leyba of Chacon, Juan D. and late wife Consuelo Leyba of Chacon and Eliseo Leyba of Las Vegas; sisters: Rosa and husband Gilberto Salas of Holman and Lucninda and husband Henry Gonzales of Arroyo Honda; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
