Jennifer Gallegos

    A Holy Rosary for Jennifer Renee Gallegos, 21, will be recited on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Teresa de Avila Catholic Church in Grants. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10 a.m.



She was born on Dec. 5, 1987, in Albuquerque, to Alfred J. Gallegos and Kathy Martinez Gallegos, and passed away on Nov. 16, 2009, in Phoenix, Ariz., after a sudden illness.

    Jennifer was a lifelong area resident and a member of St. Teresa de Avila Catholic Church. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends that she left behind.

    Jennifer is survived by her parents: Alfred and Kathy Gallegos of Grants; brother: Alfred Gallegos, Jr. of Grants; sister: Alisha Gallegos and fiancee Ricardo Sanchez of Gallup; maternal grandmother: Maxine Martinez of Grants; paternal grandmother: Martha Gallegos of Grants; the love of her life Steven Sanchez of Grants and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Art Martinez and Alfredo A. Gallegos.  Jennifer was employed as the part-time manager of a local family-owned business and a full time angel to all those whose lives she touched. Her beautiful smile and personality touched everyone's heart. Jenni was the light of our lives that will continue to shine through all of our wonderful memories that we have of her.

    Pallbearers will include Joseph Jaramillo, J.D. Coats, Jeffery Coats, Karl Chavez, Adrian Tafoya, Jared Tafoya and Chase Taylor.

    Honorary pallbearers will include Joshua Gallegos, William Borthagaray, Ricardo Sanchez, Jr., and Joseph Jaramillo, Jr.  In lieu of flowers, the Gallegos family requests donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House of your choice in loving memory of Jennifer Renee Gallegos.

    " Jennifer was a fine student of mine at Los Alamitos middle school. Several times she would correct my spelling on the chalkboard. She had super potential at anything she would have wanted. I will miss Jennifer. God bless her soul. "
