Kimberly Scott

A memorial of life service for Kimberly Scott, 48, will take place on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Bethel Heritage Church in Albuquerque. The Rev. Michael Mullins will officiate.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1961, in Albuquerque, and passed away on Dec. 25, 2009, in her father's home surrounded by her loving family.

    The owner of Strands Hair Salon in Grants, she was a member of the U.S. Navy.

    She is survived by he father; Jerry and Elizabeth Scott of Prescott, Ariz.; mother: Irene Yates of Milan; sisters: Cynthia Scott of Dallas, Texas, Jerene and Robin Speakman of Carroll, Ohio; brothers: Justin and Angela Scott of Prescott, Ariz., Ray and Shawnee Yates, Jr., of Milan, and Jarrett Scott of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

    In lieu of flowers, donations in Kimberly's memory may be made to the Cancer Society or hospice of choice.
