Benny Lucero

Services for Benny Lucero will be held at San Mateo Baptist Mission on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at 6 p.m. and on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Brother Robert Pouges and Brother Jimmy Baca officiating. Burial will follow in the San Mateo Cemetery.



He was born in San Fidel and passed away on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, in Albuquerque

He is survived by his wife: Frances Lucero of San Mateo; daughters: Evelyn Marez and husband Greg of Kingman, Ariz., and Roxanne Salcido and husband Ramiro of San Mateo; son: Benito Lucero and wife Melanie of Henderson, Nev.; grandchildren: Racheal Garcia and husband Gustavo, Joshua Lucero Marez, Reanne Salcido, Chantelle Marez, Kylie Lucero, Lexi Marez and Darien Lucero; sisters: Stella Aranda of San Fidel, Jenny Ortega and husband Fermin of Moriarty, Sarah Vigil and husband Orlando of Kingman, Ariz.; other family and friends who loved him and will miss him.

He was preceded in death by his father: Pablo Lucero; mother: Nieves Lucero; sister: Sabie Saavedra; brother: Jimmy Lucero.

Benny loved being a man of God and shared the gospel every opportunity that presented itself.  He loved his family and unselfishly gave to them his all. Benny set a positive example of how to live life to its fullest. Benny will be greatly missed, but we know his light from heaven will always shine down on us.

Pallbearers will be: Ramiro Salcido, Greg Marez, Joshua Lucero Marez, Joe Contreras, Carl Chavez, Johnny Rodriguez and Gustavo Garcia.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Racheal Garcia, Reanne Salcido, Chantelle Marez, Kylie Lucero, Lexi Marez, Darien Lucero, Melanie Lucero, Juanita Vigil, Gilbert Salazar, Gilbert Sanchez, Arsenio Salazar, Matthew Mchenry, Prudencio Martinez and all his grandchildren.

Direct Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements
