Services for Ida Gonzales-Ortiz 82, of Grants, N.M., included a Visitation on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Compassion Mortuary, 120 N. Third St., Grants, from 5-7 p.m.
A Memorial Rosary and Mass will be held on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 500 E. High St., Grants, 10 a.m. Private burial will be held at a later date in Pecos, N.M.
Ida was born on May 5, 1930, in Pecos, to Emiterio and Apolonia Roybal Sandoval.
She passed away on Sept. 20, 2012, in Grants.
She was a homemaker and gardener. Ida loved to embroider and make quilts.
She loved her family very much.
Ida is survived by her husband: Manuel Ortiz, Jr., of Grants; sons: John Ortiz, of Albuquerque, N.M.; Levi Ortiz and wife, Christy; and Kelly Ortiz, all of Grants; daughters: Veronica Gallegos and husband, Ted, of Grants; Sandra Gonzales, of Albuquerque; Lisa Gonzales, of Grants; sister: Rosarito Quintana, of Grants; two granddaughters: Michaelle Gallegos of Grants, and Sofia Gallegos and companion, Dominic Vigil, of Albuquerque; and two great-granddaughters: Angelica Vigil, of
Albuquerque, and Adrienne Ortiz of Grants.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Emiterio Sandoval and Apolina Roybal Sandoval; brother: Jose Sandoval; and sister: Gregoria Sandoval; nephew: Orlando Sandoval; and niece: Erlinda Quintana.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Estovan Quintana, Tedd Gallegos, Tino Quintana, Toby Quintana and Paul Salazar.
Compassion Mortuary, of Grants, was in charge of arrangements.
